Ms. Boyer practices out of both our Chicago and Tinley Park locations.
Ms. Boyer received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota, with honors in Sociology and History. After graduating in 1977, she worked as an investigator for the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. In 1982, she received her Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School. She has been licensed to practice law in Minnesota since 1982 and in Illinois since 1983. She is also licensed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Boyer has been with Newman, Boyer & Statham, Ltd, since 1992. She has practiced law in the area of Social Security disability since 1982 and has successfully represented over 1,000 claimants at the administrative and federal court levels. As a beginning attorney, Ms. Boyer also practiced in the field of plaintiff's personal injury, developing a broad background of litigation skills, appellate experience and familiarity with medical issues which form a strong foundation for her present practice.
